Alizee Quitman is a plastician artist who has focused her practice on molding techniques and the enhancement of recycled metal. The jewels resulting from this practice are handmade and cast in her studio in Paris. Her motivation to create these accessories comes from the need to express a powerful side of oneself.

The designer draws her influences from her caribbean roots that she sees as a chic/powerful/dangerous woman (her grandmother, the "Potomitan").

Between art, artisanat and fashion, her pieces have no label and are resisting to the idea of jewelry as a tool for seduction. Her fossils, talismans, armors are meant to feel heavier but more luminous, to be seen not watched, to feel protected not objectified, impossible to reduce. 

The practice is the message, the trace is felt.

The imprint of the found objects are operating as a memory that is getting transformed through her hands and the way it is worn.
