Alizee Quitman is a plastician artist who has focused her practice on molding techniques and the enhancement of metal. In particular the cast iron of tin modern cutlery. The jewels resulting from this practice are handmade and cast in her studio in Paris. Her motivation to create these accessories comes from the need to feel stronger or protected, to express a powerful side of oneself. The designer draws her influences from her caribbean roots that she sees as a chic/powerful/dangerous woman (her grandmother), and from an "augmented" body leading her towards an Afrofuturistic aesthetic comparable to the Atlantis myth visuals.
